Aim of the subject:
The systematic study of phenomena and laws of mechanics develops the physical world view
of the students. It also helps to understand the relationship of mechanics to other fields of natural
sciences and to industrial technologies. Students are shown how to create models for
solving a given physical problem, and how to probe the validity of the solution.
