Aim of the subject:
The subject deals with the typical chemical transformations, isomer separation techniques and scale up processes of the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry. Among the unit processes the special N-, O- and C-alkylations, C-C bond forming reactions (Claisen-, Dieckman-, Knoevanagel- és Darzens-condensation, Vilsmeyer-formylation, synthesis, reactions of polar organometallics, cross coupling reactions), and selective reductions with inorganic and organic hydrides are discussed. The theory and methods for separation and enrichment optical isomers, as well as the rules of application dry technologies are discussed and illustrated by industrial examples.
