Dr. Pál Fekete | honorary associate professor | Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology |
Dr. Hajnalka Pataki | research associate | Department of Organic Chemistry and Technology |
Subject is based on:
Basic knowledge in organic chemistry and physical chemistry
Requisities:
Prerequisite: BMEVESTA411
Aim of the subject:
The aim of the subject is to introduce the students into the technology of pharmaceutical products including the relevant theory and practice. The characteristics of the applicable pharmaceutical excipients and drug delivery systems are also discussed. Understanding of the relevant structure-influence relationships are initiated based on the characteristics of most important manufacturing methods of different types of pharmaceuticals. The way how the analytical methods, applicable in this field, serve this understanding is shown. After successful completion of the subject the student should be familiar with the theoretical bases of formulation and have a basic knowledge about each steps of manufacturing of pharmaceuticals becoming capable for discussion with the specialists of those fields. The subject should serve as a good basis for deeper research in the course of relevant special practices and diploma work.
