Requisities:
The objective of the subject is to introduce students to some of the most widely used experimental procedures in biochemistry by which biological molecules are isolated, separated, identified, and analyzed.
Aim of the subject:
Students in Biochemistry Lab learn basic techniques for isolation purification, detection and measurement of key biomolecules, includung carbohydrates, lipids, amino acids, proteins, nucleic acids and vitamin C. A primary goal of this course is to prepare students to understand and interpret scientific literature. The advanced, theoretical biochemistry portion of this course focuses on processes of regulation. Successful completion of theoretical Biochemistry is a pre-requisite for enrollment in Bicohemistry Laboratory
