Subject is based on:

Mathematics, physics, physics laboratory.

Requisities:

Physics 1E (BMETE14AX04),

Physics laboratory practice (BMETE14AX05)

Aim of the subject:

This subject, belonging to the specialized ones and being about the end of the sample curriculum, is one of the direct promoters of the operating engineering practice. According to this fact, the objective is that a student, after having had the subject, be aware of basic operational principles and possible problems of instruments used in the industry; know the professional terminology; and be capable of operating and developing the instrumentation of a given firm in the most effective way. Two facts should be taken into account: a) the great majority of the instruments is electronic, consequently studying electronics is inescapable; b) both the most modern instruments and the ones made decades ago may be found at industrial companies, and an engineer must be capable to work with what is given, so the education of the older measurement technology is not negligible totally. According to the above, the objective of this subject is fundamentally the instrumentation used in process control, operating continuously and having electric output. The most important electronic circuits used in instruments and the elements of the computer oriented instrumentation are treated, too.
