Aim of the subject:

Materials science explores the relationship between the processing technology, structure and properties of materials in order to meet the requirements of specific applications. The goal of the course is to offer information about the most important structural and functional solid materials, as well as about the importance of the design, production and shaping of materials and products. The course discusses in detail the structure-property correlations of plastics, advanced metals and ceramics, as well as solid structural and functional materials based on renewable resources.
