Aim of the subject:
The aim of the subject is to review interfacial phenomena, clarify their theoretical background and highlight their importance in practice. Characterization techniques of the interactions acting in the interface and the possible methods to manipulate these interactions will be discussed. Synthesis methods, properties and characterization of solid surfaces relevant in materials science, particularly in polymer and fiber technology (catalysts, semiconductors, foams, fibres, powders, porous systems, membranes, etc.) are to be covered.
