Aim of the subject:
This course is an extension of Physical Chemistry I. Selected areas (also specified during the lectures Physical chemistry I) will form part of the exams only for students who sign up for this subject. Such selected topics are the following: Carnot cycle; compression coolers; heat pumps; transformed fuctions of Helmholtz energy; T-S diagram; derivation of the Konovalov functions; melting point depression and boiling point elevation of dilute solutions; heat effects of mixing; ternary phase diagrams; state equation of real gases: van der Waals and virial; Gibbs energy of gases; Joule-Thomson effect; fugacity of gases
