Aim of the subject:
Energy and matter. Atomic structure and bounding forces. Basic knowledge in nuclear energy production, fission and fusion. Types of radioations, alpha, beta gamma, neutron radiations. Detectors and nuclear measuerements. Environmental radioactivity. Dosimetry and radiation protection. Nuclear power plants and nuclear fuel cycles. Radioactive wastes, waste treatments. Future of nuclear energy.
