Chemical unit operations I.
This is an introductory course to separation processes and to basic calculations of chemical reactors. Topics cover the basics methods of mass transfer calculations and principles of the different mass transfer processes. Mass, component and heat balance equations are used throughout the course. Distillation, extraction and absorption are discussed in details including equipment and short cut calculations. Simple estimations for chemical reactors are included.
