Aim of the subject:
The purpose of the course is to describe the modern methods of the professional field and the possible methods of process design.
The important parts of the course are the determination the decision steps between batch and continuous processes and the application of scheduling algorithms in this area. The course material includes the presentation of the application areas of basic unit operation items on industrial case studies.
An important part of the course is the description of the special methods of controlling chemical processes, which also includes the control of multivariable processes. In this part, the different control structures play an important part, e.g. adaptive control, fuzzy logic, neural networks.
