The aim of the course is to provide students with an insight into the technologies and methods of the modern chemical and chemical industry. Students will be introduced to the main applications of digital technologies, the use of computing and related major research/development directions, the basics of chemical informatics and the possibilities of robotisation. They will learn about the main elements of the Lean philosophy, its relation to the chemical industry and concepts specific to the start-up environment. They will gain insight into technologies for data collection, transfer and exploitation.
