Subject is based on:
Upstream processes of biochemical engineering; Unit operations (flow dynamics, heat and mass transfer, convective and diffusion transport); Physical chemistry (thermodynamics, equilibria, reaction kinetics, diffusion); Biochemistry (properties of proteins)
Prerequisite: BMEVEMKA404 Bioengineering:unit operations and processes
Requisities:
Prerequisite: BMEVEMKA404 Bioengineering:unit operations and processes or equal
Aim of the subject:
to deepen the students knowledge on the field of downstream processing. The course discusses unit operations of downstream processing. This is a bridge between the engineering and natural science basis and the industrial technologies.
Program of the subject has been developed by:
Miklós Pécs, PhD. Associate professor. Department of Applied Biotechnology and Food Science
Csaba Fehér PhD Assistant professor. Department of Applied Biotechnology and Food Science
