makromolecular chemistry, chemistry of dyes and surfactants
Prerequisite:
BMEVEMGA512 Fibre forming polymers
The course introduces the students to the most significant textile finishing technologies (Preparatory processes: desizing, scouring, bleaching, carbonizing; Mercerization and liquid ammonia treatment; Dyeing processes of natural and syntheric fibres: fundamentals and methods; Textile printing) and their equipment.
During the laboratory practices the student can get experience in identification of textile materials and the basic chemical finishing technologies, like preparatory processes: desizing, scouring and bleaching; dyeing technologies of cellulosic fibres, wool and synthetic-polymer fibres; textile printing.
