Aim of the subject:
The aim of the course is to provide MSc students with a comprehensive knowledge of analytical tasks in different fields, from sampling to measurement and reporting of results. This course goes beyond the description of specific techniques and focuses on the analytical approach, critical thinking and problem-solving skills required in the analytical industry. By using practical problem-solving examples from different analytical fields, such as green chemistry and instrumental analysis, students will be able to use appropriate analytical methods. The course will equip students with the thinking and analytical skills that are essential in different analytical fields. By focusing on the analytical process rather than on specific techniques, students will master the optimization of methods and understand the importance of appropriate analytical practices. Through industry examples, case studies and data analysis using the industry standard R statistical programming language, students will be well prepared to address the diverse challenges faced by companies utilizing analytical chemistry and contribute effectively to a variety of industries.
