Aim of the subject:
This weekly course (3x45 min/lecture each week) is designed to provide a detailed insight into the nature of physiological processes, the normal function and characteristics of the healthy human organism and the regulation of those processes which ensure the normal function of the organism. We discuss the most important aspects and regulatory processes of cellular physiology, muscle function, circulatory system, respiration, gastro-intestinal function, whole body metabolism, excretory function, endocrine regulation and the sensory organs supplemented with the corresponding neural mechanisms in detail. Therefore, students will acquire a sound physiological background of the various measuring techniques used in different experimental and clinical studies of the medical field.
