Subject is based on:
Organic Chemistry I. (Ch. E. B.Sc.)
Organic Chemistry II and Organic Synthesis Laboratory Practice (Ch. E. B.Sc.) / or Chemistry of Biomolecules (Bio. E. B.Sc.)
Organic Chemistry III. (Ch. E. B.Sc.)
Organic Chemistry (M.Sc.)
Aim of the subject:
The aim of the subject is to broaden and develop the synthesis planning knowledge of the students (Engineer in Pharmaceutical Industry / Chemical Engineer) based on their previous Organic Chemistry studies at theoretical and practical level. Based on the topics of this course - such as the general features of modern synthetic methods, synthetic strategies, and usage of chemical databases - the students will became competent in autonomous planing of novel syntheses. All main topics of the course will be demonstrated via examples from relevant total syntheses.
